2024 Fall Program Guide final draft copy

Hey y'all! My name is A'Sarah Green and I am the I.T. Network Manager for our library. I am responsible for maintaining and optimizing the library's network infrastructure to ensure seamless access to digital resources and online databases for both staff and patrons. My role involves troubleshooting network issues, implementing security measures to protect sensitive information, and upgrading hardware and software to keep the systems up to date. I collaborate closely with all departments to understand their technological needs and provide solutions that enhanced productivity and user experience. Additionally, I conduct training sessions for staff to improve their technical skills and ensure they could effectively use the library's digital tools. This experience not only honed my technical abilities but also developed my problem-solving and communication skills. Looking ahead, the future of I.T. in libraries is poised for exciting advancements. With the increasing integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning, I anticipate developing and managing more sophisticated systems that can provide personalized user experiences and predictive maintenance for network infrastructure. Furthermore, the rise of digital and remote learning will demand robust, secure, and scalable networks, making the role of an I.T. Network Manager even more critical. My goal is to continue innovating and adapting to these emerging technologies to support the library's mission of providing accessible and cutting-edge resources to the community.
