12 Downloading and Uploading Saturday, October 19th, 2024 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM This class covers the basics of downloading and uploading files along with using a flash drive. Upload and download both refer to the process of transferring a file. When a file is transferred, a copy is created in the location chosen. Upload means to transfer one or multiple files from your own computer to another computer. Download means to transfer a file from another computer to your own. Streaming Services and Smart TVs Thursday, November 5th and 18th, 2024 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM We’ll be giving an overview of popular streaming services like Netflix, Hulu or Disney+. We’ll then explain how to set up and use a smart TV or streaming device. Creating Visual Poetry Thursdays, November 14th & 21st, 2024 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM November is National Writing Month! this two-part program will focus on writing your own short poem and creating video visuals to accompany it. Learn how to craft an original poem from scratch and video edit your own 20-30 second creation. How to: 3D Printing Wednesday, November 20th, 2024 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM The ECPL will unveil our new 3D printer! We’ll show you websites that have designs and different items you can make using a 3D printer. Technology Movie Showing - Origin Origin is a 2021 and 2022 American biographical drama film written and directed by Ava DuVernay. It is based on the life of Isabel Wilkerson, played by Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, as she writes the book Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents. Over the course of the film, Wilkerson travels throughout Germany, India, and the United States to research the caste systems in each country's history.
